Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers SpeechEase.com (SpeechEase)'s treatment of personally identifiable information that SpeechEase collects when you are on the SpeechEase site, and when you use SpeechEase services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that SpeechEase does not own or control, or to people that SpeechEase does not employ or manage.

SpeechEase collects personally identifiable information when you register for a SpeechEase account, when you use SpeechEase services, and when you visit SpeechEase pages. When you register with SpeechEase, we ask for your name and email address. Once you register and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous. SpeechEase automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP Address, SpeechEase cookie information, the page you requested, and certain browser information. SpeechEase uses this information for three general purposes:

• to track your progress on the SpeechEase site and in SpeechEase services,
• to customize the content you see,
• to provide notifications about tournaments,
• to provide information about tournament results,
• and to contact you about new services or products.

SpeechEase collects information on tournament contestants when you enter their information in your roster. You agree to submit no information on children younger than 13 years of age. SpeechEase discloses the name of contestants registered for a tournament to:

• the tournament manager of the tournaments you attend,
• tournament tab room personnel of the tournaments you attend,
• and website visitors if the tournament manager has made results public.

SpeechEase will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. SpeechEase may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or persons if: we respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process; we find that your actions on our web sites violate the SpeechEase Terms of Service, or any other usage guidelines.

SpeechEase may set and access SpeechEase cookies on your computer. Interfering with cookies is strictly against the Terms of Service, and may result in limitation or termination of your SpeechEase account without notice.

SpeechEase may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information, an update will be posted to this page.
